Winter Wedding
Arctic SnowHotel is located on the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. Our shuttle service will drive you from the airport to a snowy resort by a lake amidst snowy Lapland nature. Covered in a thick snowy blanket in the winter time, our entire resort is an outstanding venue for weddings. Our resort offers everything from planning to chapel and to a wedding party venue all the way to your accommodation and honeymoon. We have an ice chapel, ice restaurant and kota restaurant for the festivities. Our accommodations are created for those once in a lifetime moments. From our glass igloos you get a 360 degrees view of the Northern skies, and the suites of our snow hotel are breathtaking for those memorable wedding photographs.
The Arctic SnowHotel, ice bar, ice restaurant and ice chapel are built every year, the venue looks also unique every year.
The Ice Chapel
Our uniquelly carved ice chapel has a long aisle with seats for around 40 guests (there is more space for the guests to stand at the back of the chapel). The temperature at ice chapel is around -2 or -5ºC, so when planning your wedding dress, please remember that you need to dress warmly for the ceremony! Ice chapel weddings are possible between 15th of December to 31st March.
We offer the possibility for official ceremonies, and ceremonies can be arranged for renewing your vows as well. It is also possible to hire the ice chapel separately for the ceremony alone. We can arrange a priest from a Lutheran church, or even arrange for the Ice Princess or Santa Claus to perform the ceremony.
The easiest way to arrange a wedding, is to book a wedding package and let us take care of the arrangements. Our basic wedding package includes the ice chapel & decoration with candles, alcoholic toast in ice glass, entrance to the Acrtic SnowHotel, wedding coordination services, marriage officer from register office to perform the ceremony, assistance with legal documents, marriage certificate.
If you are already married and wish to have a symbolic ceremony or renew your vows, we have the perfect wedding package for you. The ceremony can be performed by the Ice Princess, Santa Claus or priest from a Lutheran church.
Wedding party
We love planning your wedding party, all the way from toasting the newlyweds to a memorable dinner. After the ceremony, the wedding reception can be held at our traditional Log restaurant, breathtaking ice restaurant or at the intimate kota restaurant with open fire.
We would love to add a wedding cake to your special day. Wedding cake with coffee & tea served, including candle decorations at our warm and beautiful kota restaurant. It is possible to plan a cake according to your wishes.
To surprise your guests we recommed to add a wedding dinner at Ice restaurant. The 3-course dinner is served at Ice restaurant where the tables and benches are made of ice! Definitely a dining experience to remember!
A wedding in Lapland is complete with traditional Lappish delicacies served around the open fire in the traditional kota shelter. Witness how salmon is slowly cooked in the traditional way by the warm glow of the open fire. The ambient lighting of the kota restaurant and the crackling fire create a magical atmosphere for your special dinner.

To have that all inclusive Lapland wedding, we can help you with arranging paperwork, flowers of your dreams, hair and makeup, professional photographer, music or a performer and a wedding cake & dinner that you wish to be served for your loved ones.
