Ice sculpting, sauna, jacuzzi and dinner at Kota Restaurant

Experience something hot and cold! Take a part in ice sculpting workshop, take a tour into the world of ice and snow building, enjoy the warmth of sauna and bubbling outdoor jacuzzi and savour a dinner by an open fire at the cozy Kota restaurant. This package combines Finnish sauna traditions, Lapland flavours and art into an unique experience. This is a perfect combination for you, if you are interested in culture and tradition, well-being and relaxation, local delicacies and unique Arctic experiences!

Each year, a group of artists create dozens of ice sculptures for our snow hotel. Our guests have a chance to take a guided tour into the world of snow and ice building and try their hands at ice sculpting. The tour takes us to our solar powered ice storage, where the big ice blocks for the snow hotel and ice sculptures are stored. At the workshop, each participant receives their own block of ice and sculpting tools. After the guide has shown how to use the tools, the guests can let their imagination fly and create their own unique work of art.

If you want to live like the locals, you must experience sauna – and our outdoor jacuzzi gives the tradition a bit of a modern twist. We will reserve a private sauna and jacuzzi to each group. If needed, a guide will assist with the use of sauna.

The dinner is served at the atmospheric Kota restaurant by an open fire. Here the fireplace is not just to create mood, but it is also used in the preparation of the dishes. The restaurant offers traditional meals like reindeer and glow-fried salmon, vegetarian options and a and a children’s menu.
