Early winter Nov 1 – Dec 14

Visit Rovaniemi in November and early December to witness the magic of the first snowfalls as the forests transform into a pristine, white wonderland. While the crisp air enhances the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi experience, the snow creates endless opportunities for Lapland adventures. You might catch the mesmerizing Northern Lights in the night sky from the comfort of your glass igloo bed, but most of all, early winter marks the awakening of a winter wonderland for us at Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos.

Unique early winter experiences

Although the Arctic SnowHotel is still under construction, guests can enjoy a variety of early winter activities. Our popular ice sculpting activity continues, allowing you to create your own frozen masterpiece. Once the snow arrives, activities like ice fishing and reindeer sleigh rides become available, but until then, early winter offers a different kind of adventure—a visit to a local reindeer farm where you’ll have the chance to meet and learn about these gentle creatures up close.
