Our guided visit to a traditional reindeer farm allows you to meet these gentle animals while learning about the ancient art of reindeer herding, and the highlight of the visit is a reindeer sleigh ride. This activity is perfect for animal lovers, and anyone interested in the local way of life and its traditional livelihood.

The guide will take you on a tour of the farmyard and its historic buildings, sharing stories of how people have survived the harsh northern elements for centuries. At the reindeer enclosure, you’ll meet the living legends of Lapland face to face.

In the sleigh pulled by a reindeer you get a glimpse of what long distance travelling was in Lapland before motor vehicles. Snow crunches softly under the sleigh, reindeer hooves click and your breath forms clouds in the frosty air. The peaceful rhythm invites you to quiet down and enjoy the moment.

At the end of the trip, we will gather in the old log house, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and local baked goods while hearing more stories of the local way of life, past and present.
