Our glass igloos in Rovaniemi are open from 1st September, and to maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights they are equipped with built-in Northern Lights alarm systems and 360° glass roofs.

Even in the coldest winter months, our igloos stay warm and comfortable. The glass roof is equipped with an electric defrosting system, which our staff activates when needed to ensure the view of the sky remains clear after snowfall. Additionally, underfloor heating ensures a cozy environment, comparable to traditional hotel rooms.

Each glass igloo is equipped with a complimentary Northern Lights alarm system – the Aurora Alarm. Simply switch it on in your igloo, and you’ll be gently alerted with a buzzing sound whenever the Northern Lights appear in the sky. Our night watch keeps an eye on the sky throughout the night, so you can relax and enjoy your stay to the fullest – without missing a moment of magic.

Twin glass igloo (20m², 2 single beds)

Perfect for couples or small groups, the Twin Glass Igloo accommodates 1-3 guests in 20m² of modern comfort. Each glass igloo is equipped with two motorized twin beds, a private bathroom with a shower, refrigerator, electric kettle, and hairdryer. An additional bed can be added for a third guest.

While double beds are not possible, the motorized feature allows for adjustable comfort and ideal stargazing. Experience the beauty of the arctic skies and Northern Lights from the warmth of your glass-roofed igloo.

Family glass igloo (33m², 4 single beds)

The Family Glass Igloo is ideal for larger groups or families, accommodating 1-5 guests in 33m² of spacious comfort. This glass igloo features four motorized single beds, with the option to add a fifth bed. The glass igloo is equipped with a private bathroom, shower, refrigerator, electric kettle, and hairdryer.

Designed for maximum comfort, this glass igloo lets you and your loved ones enjoy the breathtaking views of the Northern Lights through the panoramic glass roof, all while staying warm and cozy.

Buffet breakfast

When staying in a glass igloo, breakfast is always included in the accommodation rate and is served at Log restaurant. If you leave before breakfast starts, you can request a breakfast package which you can pick up from the reception before you leave.

Public Finnish sauna

The traditional Finnish sauna is included in the accommodation price and available for shared use during specific evening hours. If you’re looking for something extra, you can book a private sauna experience with an outdoor jacuzzi for an additional fee — or try our unique snow sauna during the winter season.

Entrance ticket to Arctic SnowHotel (Dec 15 – Mar 31)

For an extra touch of arctic magic, the Arctic SnowHotel – Rovaniemi Top attraction – is located right next to the igloos, and during the winter season, entrance is complimentary for all glass igloo guests.

Entrance ticket to Snowman World (Dec 6 – Mar 17)

Snowman World is part of the Snowhotel Family, and as our guest, you’ll receive a complimentary entrance ticket to this magical winter wonderland. Located in Santa Claus Village, just a 30-minute drive away, Snowman World is easily accessible — and transportation is available.

Free things to do in autumn

1 September – 31 October

  • Marvel at the Pop-up Ice Bar (drinks available at an additional cost).

  • Relax by the fire in a floating lean-to on Lake Lehtojärvi.

  • Unwind in the cozy small kota.

  • Play Finnish outdoor games, such as Mölkky, or try tossing a suopunki under the guidance of our guide.

  • Take a sneak peek behind the scenes to see how one of the world’s largest snow hotels is built each year. The guided tour takes you into the “machine room” — a large, solar-cooled warehouse where all the ice sculptures are carved.

Free things to do in early winter

1 November – 14 December

  • Have fun with traditional Finnish outdoor games, like Mölkky and suopunki throwing.
  • Go behind the scenes and discover how one of the world’s largest snow hotels is built each year.
  • Warm up by the fire in our cozy small kota or the floating lean-to by the lake.
  • Starting from December 6, staying in a glass igloo includes a complimentary entrance ticket to the magical Snowman World amusement park in Santa Claus Village.
  • When there’s enough snow, overnight guests are welcome to borrow snowshoes and kick sleds free of charge – perfect for enjoying the winter landscape at your own pace.

Free things to do in winter

15 December –31 March

  • Visit the Arctic SnowHotel free of charge when staying in a glass igloo.
  • Enjoy complimentary access to Snowman World amusement park in Santa Claus Village, where you get to Slide down giant snow and ice slides, skate on a real ice rink, and dance with snowmen at the Ice Disco.
  • Borrow snowshoes, tubes and kick sledges free of charge and explore the surrounding nature.
